On March 11, 2020, Williams canceled Spring classes after Friday, March 13, and resumed classes using remote learning to complete the semester, starting April 6. See President Mandel’s March 11, 2020 letter to the College and students.
In a Zoom meeting with the Class of ’70 Class Agents and Sub-Agents on April 1, 2020, the Alumni Office advised that Williams had invested $10 million in remote learning in the two weeks between March 11 and April 6, 2020 — “…so that’s what the 2020 Alumni Fund campaign goes to.”
The Alumni Fund 2019-2020 Campaign raised $ milliion for the College. The Class of ’70 again won the Wood Trophy for the highest class participation among the youngest 50 classes, and came in third in the largest dollar increase compared to last year. Read about our stunning 2020 Wood Trophy win!
